Random CHD Question

SO... This is totally random, but does anyone know if there has ever been a "color" tied to Congenital Heart Defect awareness? You know, similar to the pink color/ribbon for breast cancer research? I wonder if one hasn't been "assigned" if we, as a heart community, can choose a color that isn't already designated to another cause and adopt it as THE color for CHD support/awareness. Seems like this might be a good way to unite all of our efforts and make a visual impact for the research and funding that needs to occur to help further treatments and improve outcomes for our sweet heart children, as well as those who will follow them.

Anyone know of anything?

  1. I think it's red - even though it isn't specific to CHD's, I know it's used for Heart Disease in general, so would think it could apply to CHD's maybe...

  3. I am with you - we need a color - we need a logo, specifc to congenital heart defects - we need to rally and we need a voice. I guess we need to start at the beginning. I am happy to help however I can - once upon a time I was an Executive Assistant and I am happy to use those skills however they're needed. E-mail me if you have something in mind.

  5. It is RED and BLUE! I have a ribbon on my website in the lower right column... the red and blue symbolize the flow of the heart, red and blue blood.
