Merry Christmas?

I figured that since I posted a lovely picture of Chase on Friday, it might be a good idea to post a few of my favorite pics of LO! As you know, we are living in a little bubble here at our house and are unable to take our little guy out in public until after his next surgery (probably in April or May 2010). So since we can't have him around crowds, especially children, we cannot take him and LO to have their pictures taken. That means we had the joy of doing them here ourselves! Imagine the fun... trying to get a 2-1/2 year old to look at the camera AND smile at the exact moment the 7 week old isn't throwing a major fit. Good times!!

Anyway, I thought this one of LO summed up our first home photography experience... ((sigh))

Can you see the joy and excitement of Christmas sparkling in her eyes? Yeah, of course.

Honestly, this one depicts how she really felt about the whole experience:

Okay, so I didn't go with either of those for our holiday card. It was so hard to get the girl to cooperate! But surprisingly enough, if you put a present in her hands, she's all smiles!

But of course, our 2009 holiday card will feature not one, but BOTH of our precious little angels! We took several shots of LO and Chase together, but this one by far won out as my favorite:

Merry Christmas, right?

  1. Merry Christmas! These are priceless and you'll look back a few years from now and laugh, I'm sure!

I remember those months between Emma Kate's Norwood and Glenn. We didn't leave the house too often, and missed Thanksgiving and Christmas seeing all of our family. The few people that did come into the house were nurses and therapists. It was hard, but honestly, I was glad to have an "excuse" as to why no one could hold/touch EK. I really had a fear of her getting sick. And thankfully, we protected her in our little bubble (aka our living room!) She got an ear infection, but that was it.

All that to say, I don't think she missed out on anything. She is doing so good now, and of course, doesn't know any different. Her extended family gets to love on her now and she is thriving!

I'm so, so excited for yall that Chase is BOTTLE FEEDING! That is such a blessing. He looks wonderful! I hope yall have a very blessed Christmas!
