Stable

My boy is stable. We're waiting for him to come out of the anesthesia so we can CPAP him and get that durn breathing tube out.

So here's my baby before his minor procedure:

And this is him now:

It hurts this momma's heart to see my baby like this again, knowing I can't hold him for who knows how long. I'm just grateful he's stable and there's no sign of permanent damage as of yet.

Please keep praying!!!

  1. Praying hard that he will remain stable and will be without the breathing tube shortly. Hopefully he will, once again, be back in your arms soon. I have a feeling they will have to fight to get him away from you next time! Saying prayers of thanksgiving that no signs of permanent damage have been seen.

  2. Kathy-
I couldn't believe what I was reading. I am so sorry. We spend our whole time worrying about this huge heart surgery and when we finally breathe a sigh of relief, something else side swipes us. I was reading your blog while waiting at my eye doctor's office and I couldn't believe it. Funny enough, a nun in her full get up was waiting too and I was compelled to tell her about Chase. She said she would say a prayer for Chase and your family. I hope Chase continues to be stable through the night and back on that road to recovery.
